2013 ACTIVITIES
St Andrews Legacy came of age in 2013. We were blown away by the support we received at home and from around the world. We were thrilled to help the guys from Tacoma and Canada as they continue their road to recovery.
The first port of call for St Andrews Legacy was Crail Golfing Society, where founder Graham Proctor and Jay Feyko of Soldier On Canada hit their ceremonial tee shots up into a Scottish azure sky and out over the sun-bronzed fairways of Balcomie Links.
Other courses to welcome the veterans were: The Duke’s Course, Kingsbarns Golf Links, and The Old Course at St Andrews Links, where the veterans finished to the sound of a pipe band serenade.
The group also visited both The Open at Muirfield and The Senior Open at Royal Birkdale, meeting numerous professional players including Fred Couples (at both venues!) and Tiger Woods.
Thanks to David Roy at Crail, Jim McArthur, Rhodri Price, and Karen MacLeod at the R&A, David Scott at The Duke’s, and Art Dunkley at Kingsbarns.
