ST ANDREWS ARMISTICE CENTENARY DINNER SATURDAY 10 NOVEMBER 2018

The First World War came to an end on 11 November 1918.

To commemorate that occasion and to honour current and former service men and women, a very special dinner was held at the Old Course Hotel, St Andrews, on Saturday, 10 November 2018. The event benefitted St Andrews Legacy, a charity that improves the lives of ill and injured veterans and their families through the magic of St Andrews and the game of golf. Sponsored by Thorntons, solicitors and estate agents, the evening was hosted by Gavin Hastings (pictured above left with Graham Proctor, CEO of St Andrews Legacy, and veterans David Gillies from Scotland and Australian Sam Bush) and featured Alan Tait. Pam Smith, captain of Crail Golfing Society, presented St Andrews Legacy with a cheque for £1000, representing revenue from SoloRider golf carts at Crail (pictured below left).
